Koi carp
I like watching koi carp and I was reading a book of haiku and this inspired me to do a painting to illustrate the haiku, which I modified from the original:
"As I watch the carp
blowing bubbles, their scales flash
in the green-blue pond"
I even thought about doing a whole series (or even a book) of paintings and haiku, but that project hasn't taken off yet.
